The Secret: The Book That Changed My Life

The Secret: The Book That Changed my Life

the-secret-1
The Secret is one of the few books that I have read and I am forever grateful to have read it. To be honest, I am not much of a reader or a follower of self-help and positive living. I take each day as it comes and try to be in the moment as much as I can. I believe in perseverance and hard work to achieve my dreams and goals.
The Secret came into my life sometime around my junior college days. I watched the documentary and read this book written by Rhonda Byrne. The wisdom contained in that book has the power to transform people’s life for the better an how. It completely changed my way of looking at life. The 3 step process of Ask, Believe and Receive for getting whatever you want is one thing out of the many things I learnt from The Secret.

“You are the masterpiece
of your own life.
You are the Michelangelo
of your own life.
The David you are sculpturing
is you
(Dr. Joe Vitale)”
― Rhonda Byrne, The SecretQuote

Another thing that The Secret has taught me is to become aware – To understand if you are keeping your thoughts positive start to check periodically how you are feeling. If you are feeling good, you know that your thoughts are positive and you are happy. I had started understanding myself better.

One thing that I love the most about this book is, no matter how many times I read it, there’s always something new that I learn from it. I have become a more loving, understanding and optimistic person after reading it. Even today when I feel low I either read up a few pages from The Secret or watch the documentary to feel better. I strongly feel that this book will help you on your life journey as well.

No. 4 on my winter essentials list is a cute beanie which will give you a perfect picture if you are doing a winter photoshoot or even if you are travelling to a cold place. It is something that will come handy whenever you want to cover your ears from that wind or to add dimension to your outfit.

No. 2 on my winter essentials list is a bomber jacket. Well bomber jackets are the new thing in town. They can add an instant quirk to your plain and boring outfits and at the same time give an edgy vibe. A little simdim tip would be to buy an oversized one.

Sir George Everest house is nothing less than a hidden gem located up above in the City of hills, Mussoorie where even the trees have aesthetic sense. As you walk up to Sir George Everest’s peak in Mussoorie after every step you will have a better view. I started my year with a trip which I shall cherish all my life. Getting to Sir George Everest House is not very difficult you could simply take a cab. We booked two cabs for 1300 INR which included our both ways journey.

When we went our driver left us near the place and after a little bit of walking we made it to the top where we saw the abandoned reality right in front of us. At first all we could see was a door through which we could see the golden rays of the Sun.

George Everest House

As we walked ahead it seemed as if we have entered a magical dream. The view from that point was something else, I could see the sun and the moon at the same time while one side I had the Himalayas the other side I saw the Sun setting in peace, I don’t know whether I died a little or lived a little more, but all I remember is saying ” George uncle ka ghar best hai bhai sahab”

Leaving from George Everest House was difficult thinking about the sunrise but camping there is still a wish, as we left a piece of our heart some where in the mountains. The locals from Mussoorie call Sir George Everest House as “The Suicide Point” well according to me ending your life here seems a bit too difficult because I believe I have started to live a little more after witnessing this allure.

Don’t forget to like, comment and share.

Love, Simdim.
